The story of the horse from the ‘inside-out’
Although issues are often hidden in a deep place, we’re able to see and feel them from the outside.
For example: tightening, drought, variations in colour and/or temperature and so on.
When you pay attention to these details, you’ll be able to discover a treasure of information right under your eyes.
During the dissection of the whole horse body, Zefanja and her team are thought for years by Sharon May-Davis and will take you on journey in her area of expertise that made her world famous.
Central question for every dissection is: ‘What story does the inside of the horse tells us about its life?’
This course is a must for therapists, saddle fitters, hoof carers, trainer and passionate horselovers who want to understand and experience what’s beneath the skin of the horse.
Experiencing what’s beneath the skin will allow you as see and feel how
Problems arise, how they influence the rest of the body and what you can do to prevent and/or solve them.
You’ll get an unique opportunity to experience the effect of different kinds of bits in the horse’s mouth on the movement of the hyoid and on the hind- and frontlegs.
The influence of the saddle on the range of motion will also be demonstrated.
Under the guidance of an great team you’ll be investigating the different layers of the horse, how they function seperately and how it’s intertwined with the whole body at the same time.
Not only will you get a good picture about what’s going on during injuries, wounds or infection, but also how Equine Anatomy and Biomechanics vary within different breeds and even within every horse as an individual.
We will take you on a 3-day journey about the ‘CSI’ of the horse.
The horse will tell you the secrets about it’s life.
We also always present our latest research.
The course will be given in English, but is easy to follow.
