Medical Taping Module
Taping horses is a relatively new treatmentThe results of medical taping are astounding. With tape, you're able to provide support; the proprioception of the horse is visible in just minutes. This module is taught by Raquel Butler, veterinarian and an expert in the fields of anatomy and biomechanics. During the course, she will teach you the ins and outs of this new form of treatment. The course consists of 2 days of practical sessions with lots of exercises with the horses and some theory to go with them. The module will be taught in English but is easy to follow for non-native speakers.
Subjects:Taping applied in various ways, like: – Activating the blod- and lymph circulation in case of swelling and hematoma. – Influencing of fascia and muscles – Scar treatment – Sinew injuries and inflamations – Injuries to the motion system – Improvement of muscular functions – Supporting the joints After the module, you will have to write a number of study cases.
Module Veterinary Assesments
Do you want to start a training course or a treatment course?Raquel teaches in comprehensible style. Being both a vet and a therapist, her teaching style is practical and unique. The assesments module teaches you to create a sound diagnosis. The course consists of a four-day practical. Raquel teaches you to see and feel the horse, both inside en outside. she teaches you how to get a touch for feeling blockades and restrictions, from the point of view that everything moves en interconnects within a horse. The course is taught in English and is easy to follow for non-native speakers. We advise you to bring your own horse, as a case study during the course. You will also recieve a performance review and training tips from Raquel.
